The One

The One

By Kami Divine

I believe everything around us comes from God. Every person, every living thing, every opportunity, and every lesson is part of something greater than ourselves. I call that connection the One.

When someone holds their breath for too long and passes out, people say they’ve lost consciousness. In that moment, they’ve also lost awareness. They’re no longer present or connected to what’s happening around them.

Awareness is one of the greatest gifts we’ve been given. It’s how we experience life, recognize opportunities, and learn from our mistakes. The more aware we become, the more we begin to see that we are all connected.

For a long time, I believed life was about competing. I thought I had to prove myself, work harder than everyone else, and constantly chase success. Eventually, I realized I was looking in the wrong direction. The more I focused on becoming the best version of myself instead of comparing myself to others, the more peace I found.

Someone else’s success doesn’t take away from yours. Their light doesn’t make yours any dimmer. We all come from the same source, and each of us has a purpose that no one else can fulfill.

If you can clearly see yourself becoming something, don’t ignore that vision. It may not happen overnight, but the desire was placed in your heart for a reason. Let it inspire you to grow instead of making you feel behind.

Do your best every day. Stay humble. Keep learning. Trust the work you’re putting in, even when no one is watching.

Be like an oak tree. Before it reaches toward the sky, it spends years growing deep roots. Most people never see that part of the journey, but it’s the foundation that allows the tree to stand through every storm.

The same is true for us.

Take care of your own garden. Water your own dreams. Celebrate every step forward, no matter how small. People may think where you are today is your final destination, but they’re only seeing one chapter of your story.

Keep building. Keep believing. Keep becoming.

The more aware we become, the easier it is to recognize God’s presence. Not only in ourselves, but in the people we meet, the challenges we face, and the opportunities placed before us.

There is no need to compete when God has already given you everything you need to become who you were created to be.

You are one of a kind.

Your life is a miracle.
